Namibia is popular for its national parks and the Skeleton Coast. Travellers often start in South Africa and fly to Windhoek. Many hire a car. Return trips are often via Northern Botswana and Victoria Falls. Accommodation will vary from high-end boutique hotels found in many National Parks to very basic homestays.

Health advice will vary according to the reason for travel (holiday, work, volunteering, visiting friends or relatives), accommodation (5-star resort, Airbnb, home stay) length of stay, time of year (wet or dry season) and location (urban or rural).
